1. In order to have documents such as Certificates of Free Sale, manufacturing licenses and other similar documents issued by competent Malaysian governmental authorities legalized by our Embassy, the document itself has to be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Malaysia.
In this regard, please bear in mind that the intervention of a Notary Public is NOT necessary and will NOT be accepted (i.e. the MOFA must legalize the signature of the official from the competent Malaysian authority which issued the document and not the signature of a Notary Public). For example, if the document is issued by the Ministry of Agriculture of Malaysia, then the MOFA must legalize the signature of the signing official of the Ministry of Agriculture directly.
The official issuing the Certificate must sign ALL the pages of the Certificate.
2. Fees and payment: US$ 200 per document (to be paid in ringgits by online transfer). Upon submission, the Embassy will issue a receipt for payment to be made by online transfer to our associated bank. The transfer slip must be sent to the Embassy in order for us to process the documents. Kindly note that no payments will be accepted on the last 3 working days of every month.
