As every year, on last 22nd of February our country celebrated the Argentine Antarctica Day. In this framework, during the ceremony which took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Buenos Aires, the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs Felipe Solá pointed out:

“This year we are celebrating 116 years of uninterrupted presence of Argentina in the Antarctic Continent. Since then, the "Antarctic Argentina" has been seing its strengthening through the development of a long term national strategy of scientific activity -carried out by the Argentine Antarctic Institute- the logistical support offered by the Armed Forces and the specialized diplomacy of our Ministry".
