The XXXIV Meeting of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) is taking place in the city of Kuala Lumpur, with the participation of representatives of the National Antartic Directorate (Dirección Nacional del Antártico) and the Argentine Antartic Institute (Instituto Antártico Argentino).

Within the framework of the event, a bilateral meeting between Argentine and Malaysian scientists took place, in order to identify research projects that share common interests.
