January-July 2021 Argentine exports highest in eight years

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that, in the first seven months of this year, Argentine exports amounted to USD 42.6 billion, reaching the highest value in eight years and increasing by 31.2% year-on-year, as a result of higher prices (24.3%) and, to a lesser extent, quantities (5.6%). The trade balance of the first seven months reflected a surplus for Argentina of USD 8.3 billion. Read more...

Earthquake in Haiti: Argentina sends White Helmets humanitarian mission

Following a joint work between the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence, on 21 August, 2021, a White Helmets humanitarian mission to Haiti was organized in order to make humanitarian and medical assistance available to the Haitian people and international organizations, following the devastating earthquake in Petit Trou De Nippes Department, in western Haiti. Declaration by National Council on Malvinas Islands Affairs

We, the members of the National Council, reaffirm our commitment to contribute to the enhancement of State Policies in furtherance of the First Temporary Provision of the Argentine Constitution: "The Argentine Nation ratifies its legitimate and imprescriptible sovereignty over the Malvinas, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands and the surrounding maritime and insular areas, as they are an integral part of the national territory. The recovery of those territories and the full exercise of sovereignty over them, while respecting the lifestyle of their inhabitants and in compliance with the principles of International Law, are a permanent and non-renounceable goal of the Argentine people.". Promotion of the nomination to the UNESCO World Heritage List of the ESMA Memory Site Museum

The Chief of the Private Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Guillermo Justo Chaves, met on Tuesday with the newly appointed Argentine Ambassador to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Marcela Losardo. They discussed the promotion of the nomination to the UNESCO World Heritage List of the ESMA Memory Site Museum - Former Clandestine Detention, Torture and Extermination Centre, managed by the Argentine Secretariat for Human Rights headed by Horacio Pietragalla Corti.
